Pig Cushion Green Nerifer | Checkred Piggy Pillow in Green

A little pig with a big heart and a woodland-green coat. This handmade pig cushion is sewn from 100% cotton in a calm green plaid, and its soft, rounded shape makes it just as happy in a nursery as on a grown-up sofa. Handmade in Europe, it is the kind of cuddly companion that turns a quiet corner into a cosy one.

Green Plaid Pig Pillow: A Gentle Animal Cushion with Natural Charm

Green checks bring a fresh, natural feel to any room, from a calm kids' bedroom to a rustic living room with wooden furniture and plants. Pair this piggy cushion with cream, beige or grey textiles, or let it stand out as a cheerful accent among neutral cushions. The breathable cotton cover feels soft to the touch, and the plump filling makes it ideal for story time, naps and bedtime cuddles.

A Nordic Good-Luck Charm to Keep All Year

Pigs have a lucky reputation in northern Europe. At a traditional Danish Christmas Eve dinner, the guest who finds the almond hidden in the rice pudding is rewarded with a marzipan pig, and Norwegians play the same game. In Germany, a Glücksschwein is a little lucky pig given to friends at Christmas and New Year with wishes for a happy year. This green pig is a soft, huggable version of that old custom: a gift that says "good luck" and stays on the bed long after the marzipan has been eaten. Lovely for Christmas stockings, birthdays, baby showers and new beginnings.
