What Does a Day in a Cushion Sewing Studio Look Like?

A behind-the-scenes look at where your favorite letter cushions and decorations are made

You look at a finished letter cushion in your favorite color, touch the soft velvet or boucle, and think: "It's beautiful!". But have you ever wondered how many people — and how many steps — it takes for that cushion to arrive in your home?

Today, we're inviting you behind the scenes — into our studio, where every day with great care we create letter cushions, stars, and clouds that decorate children's rooms (and not only!).

1. Morning in the studio — coffee, sewing machines, and order sheets

Every day starts with coffee together and reviewing the plan. On a large table lie order sheets: children's names, chosen colors, fabric type, and any special notes from customers. Everything has to be exactly right.

This isn't mass production — every project tells a different story and is made for a different little person. That's why we work with extra attention and heart.

2. Selecting and cutting the fabrics

Next, we move to shelves filled with fabrics in shades ranging from classic cream and mint to deep festive wine red. Every fabric roll has its own number and OEKO-TEX® certificate, so we know it's safe even for the youngest children.

We choose the right piece of fabric and cut it precisely according to prepared templates. This is one of the most important stages — accuracy here determines whether the letter cushion will have a perfect shape.

3. Sewing with a smile

Once the fabric pieces are ready, they go to our wonderful seamstresses. There's always a warm atmosphere at the sewing machines, often with calm music playing in the background. Each cushion is created from scratch — sewn, turned right side out, and carefully filled with soft, hypoallergenic silicone fiber.

This is the moment when the letters, stars, and clouds truly come to life. They gain volume and that signature softness loved by thousands of moms.

4. Filling and shaping by hand

Every cushion is filled by hand. It's not as easy as it looks — the filling must be evenly distributed, corners shaped carefully, and edges smoothed so the letter cushion or star cushion stays fluffy and keeps its form.

Thanks to this, when it reaches you, it looks exactly like in the photos — no flat spots, no sagging.

5. Final touches and quality control

Before any cushion goes into a box, it undergoes a detailed quality check. We inspect the seams, make sure no threads are loose, and confirm the shape is perfect. Only then do we consider it ready to travel out into the world.

This stage requires patience and a trained eye — but it's exactly why our letter cushions and decorations are so well-loved and can be enjoyed for years.

6. Packing with care

The cushions are placed in elegant cardboard boxes, loosely arranged on tissue paper so nothing gets deformed during transport. We often add a small thank-you note as well.

During the holiday season, we frequently wrap orders in paper with subtle gold details and tie them with jute twine or satin ribbon. We know many of our cushions are gifts — and we want them to delight from the very first glance.
